About Geekfest and the Early Morning Skype

One thing I hate the most about being away from my country, was having to miss a lot of things. I missed Linkin Park concert in Jakarta last September. I missed last year’s Java Soulnation and this year’s Java Jazz Festival – both are like frikishly big yearly music events. My music gods Dream Theater is coming to Jakarta this April 21, and I’m gonna miss that as well.

When the buzz about Geekfest went around Twitter a while ago, […]

Looking Back 2011: Life Moments

Looking Back 2011: Life Moments

The last time I remembered, I still did my daily routine everyday: drove from campus to home to campus to home again and got stuck in the madness of Jakarta’s traffic, or played drums in my old drum room and made noises and disturbed my neighbours. Now, at this very moment, I’m writing this post from Edinburgh, Scotland, during my Christmas-New Year holiday trip. A place that I call “home” is now a student flat in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. Back in my country, I used to follow the festival every year from the website, wondering when the hell I will be able to attend such freakishly awesome festival. And suddenly I moved to UK last September, which suddenly made the festival just 4 hours away by train from Newcastle, the place where I lived right now. It is too impossible not to go.

Onedotzero is an annual animation and motion […]

I’m On Web Design Index 9!

I’m On Web Design Index 9!

I finally met this book at my campus library yesterday!

This book was released on August 2010. Yes, this post supposed to be written a year ago.
But a year ago, this blog hasn’t even existed yet. Anyway.

At first, the editor emailed me saying that my portfolio website visualgroove.net made it into the final selection of Web Design Index 10. But on their website, I saw that mine is actually on Web Design Index 9. I thought I’m going […]
