One thing I hate the most about being away from my country, was having to miss a lot of things. I missed Linkin Park concert in Jakarta last September. I missed last year’s Java Soulnation and this year’s Java Jazz Festival – both are like frikishly big yearly music events. For those of you who keep an eye in my Youtube channel, you’d probably know that I did some acoustic guitar covers. Some people asked me about how I do the sound recording on those videos – my equipment, my technique, etc. Well, to be honest, I don’t have any particular techniques. I have never been professionally trained (although I really want to, if I got the chance), but I always love the idea of home recording and always interested in how to produce good quality recordings with a limited budget on a minimal equipment. So what I’m going to share here is my way of doing such thing. I will also include some links to professional advices as well just for comparison, and if I lead you the wrong way, you can slap me in the face.
